Luisa Rivera / London-based artist originally from Chile. She works primarily on paper with water-based media, creating narratives inhabited mostly by women and natural elements. Her work explores themes such as ecology, feminism, and personal memory.
After earning her BFA in Santiago, Chile, she completed an MFA at the Minneapolis College of Art and Design (USA) in 2013, supported by a Fulbright scholarship and a FONDART grant (Chilean National Fund for the Development of Culture and the Arts).
Recent group exhibitions include P.S. 9th Annual Postcard Show (2024, Nucleus House, Portland); In Between/ness (2024, Somers Gallery, London); The Drawing Board (MCAD Gallery, Minneapolis); Tart Factory (2023, Tart Gallery, London); Rituals (2023, Lea Bridge Library Pavilion, London); and RBA Rising Stars (ROSL Arts, London).
She has illustrated more than fifteen books, including One Hundred Years of Solitude and Love in the Time of Cholera (Random House Literature, Spain), both by Gabriel García Márquez, as well as editions of Stories of Love, Madness and Death by Horacio Quiroga and Azul by Rubén Darío (Editorial Alma, Spain). She is also the author of In the Lighthouse (Liberalia Ediciones, Chile), which received the Colibrí Medal from IBBY Chile in 2020.
Luisa Rivera / Artista chilena radicada en Londres. Trabaja principalmente sobre papel con pinturas a base de agua, creando narrativas habitadas mayoritariamente por mujeres y elementos naturales. Su obra aborda temas como la ecología, el feminismo y la memoria personal.
Tras obtener su grado en Artes Visuales en Santiago de Chile, completó en 2013 un Máster en Bellas Artes (MFA) en el Minneapolis College of Art and Design (EE.UU.), gracias a una beca Fulbright y un fondo FONDART (Fondo Nacional para el Desarrollo Cultural y las Artes).

También es autora de En aquel faro (Liberalia Ediciones, Chile), galardonado con la Medalla Colibrí de IBBY Chile en 2020.
